The old hispanic craft of using paper to create flower-like images is adaptable to making cards or wall hangings with a wide selection of papers.
Using both special hand made papers, upcycling papers, or handpainted paper, you have an endless supply of relatively inexpensive materials to create custom cards and other work.
I have been doing this craft for over 10 years and never tire of all the options paper provides.
It’s sheer joy to mix colors and textures to create cards or wall hangings applied to ribbons.
We will be working outside in good light with all materials provided. I also hand out a kit to each participant with some precut circles to give you a jump start on making combinations.
I’ll explain clearly the different ways to fold the paper for cutting various designs,
A brief history of the craft, as well as showing samples of my work for inspriration, will help you see the possibilities.
I love sharing this fun craft for those that love paper and the many possibilies it holds.
