Description
Learn to weave your own turkey wing and hawk’s tail hand brooms in this introductory, hands-on class. We will discuss the tools, materials, and techniques for crafting beautiful and functional brooms that will have you sweeping out the corners in style. Participants will leave with two completed hand brooms. Please be aware that broom making is a physical task and moderate hand strength is recommended.

Wear sturdy jeans or other non-precious clothing so you can work on your lap as in the photo below.
Instructor Sarah Benson is the founder and face behind Sun Bunny Studio based in Seattle, Washington. She has a background in fiber arts and printmaking and received her BFA from Arizona State University. Dedicated to a life of creating, learning, and skill sharing, Sarah began weaving brooms in earnest while homesteading in the San Juan Islands. When not crafting, she spends her days running after her rambunctious toddler.
