Remember your grandma’s embroidery? Well, it’s back with a modern and adorable twist! Learn this timeless art and pickup a new hobby.

Our instructor – Sarah Slovensky is the owner and creative mind behind Hoffelt & Hooper Co. She has been professionally embroidering since 2016. She grew up in Langley on Whidbey Island and returned to build a home with her husband and two pups a few years ago. Her instagram site shows a wide selecion of beautifully done embroidery from dog portraits to classic solid cream on a colored ground as well as many floral patterns.

You will learn basic embroidery stitches along with tips and tricks to create your own artwork. Embroidery supplies are provided along with homemade pie, tea or coffee.

During the workshop, you will receive step-by-step instructions for basic stitches, a stitching sampler to practice on, and a full kit with all the materials needed to create your own floral design.

This workshop is perfect for all levels, from crafty people to those who have never picked up a needle and floss.

WORKSHOP CONTENT

All materials required will be included as part of your purchase to take home. Additional kits will be available at the end of the workshop for purchase if desired. 

During the workshop you will learn all the skills needed to complete the project. Stitching should be done at a comfortable and personal pace so some of the project will need to be completed at home. 

We will be working in the warm daylight outside weather permitting or inside if needed.
