Expand your knowledge of herbal medicine and skills in making effective herbal remedies in this day class with Herbalist Erin Vanhee. Making effective herbal remedies can be intimidating but is easy once you know how! Gain the skills necessary to make a variety of medicines and the confidence to share them.
If you are unsure of your herbal skills or just want a refresher- this is for you. We provide the plants! And you take home the medicines made in class- (Some supplies required. See supply list below.)
Prepare medicinal, edible and nutrient dense plant products. The fist half of the class covers water based tea, infusions, decoctions and syrups.
After a break you will learn tincture making using vinegar or alcohol. Erin provides the plants, as well as what we may gather in the gardens and field! And you take home things made in class as well as the information to do more on your own.
Lunch and homemade pie will happen at an appropriate time.

Please bring the following items to enhance your hands-on learning experience:
- 1-2 half-pint (8 ounce) jars
- 1-2 jelly (4 ounce) jars
- 1 cup of honey
- 1 pint of raw apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup of 100 proof vodka or brandy
- Chopping knife
- Notebook
- Clothing suitable for changing weather
- Lunch ( Pie and hot beverages provided with joy )

Bio for Erin
bringing plants and people together since 1993. Erin’s teaching style is relaxed
yet fast-paced and story-driven. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of herbs
and healing traditions and is passionate about conserving plant habitat and
inspiring plant relationship.
Her teachings are a reflection of her
relationship with the wild.
