A great way to welcome spring – join the well organized Kaili as she leads you to make a perfectly sweet little cedar basket using a mold to obtain the desired size and shape.

Using a wooden mold the weaving will come out to just the right size and shape –    height 2″ x Width 4″ x Depth 2″.

You will learn how to weave on a form ( aka mold ) as well as several weaving   techniques including plaiting, twining, a simple twill pattern, and optional       embellishments. The basket will be finished with a diagonal folded rim.

Basket secured to mold.

Turning the bottom with twining technique.

Both yellow and red cedar materials will be provided already prepped to needed dimensions. Cherry bark is an optional embellishment.

Kaili has detailed hand outs so you can retain the information and she has limited the class to 6 so everyone gets plenty of attention in order to be successful and complete your basket during the class time.

A nourishing lunch  & beverages is provided which of course includes the infamous pie.
