Description
This ever popular class is back with the amazing Patti King sharing her fabrics, threads, and most importantly her years of experience and breadth of knowledge on this ancient technique. A method of sewing that is both portable and can be worked on many different scales, making it most useful and variable.

Take a journey into pure creativity as you learn the art of Bojagi – the Korean wrapping cloth. With simple tools – just needle and thread – you will hand stitch a small patchwork piece using beautiful scraps of cloth from Korea – silk, ramie and hemp – and enjoy creating without rules or plans and watching the small pieces become a finished whole. This one-day workshop offers a meditative experience based on the repetitive process of hand-stitching and supports the concept of not wasting by honoring each small scrap of cloth.

Open to all levels of stitching experience, this class offers students an opportunity to focus on the many aesthetic decisions that are a part of the creative process and to end the day with a small and totally unique piece of textile art ~ a pure expression of the maker’s hand.
My homemade pie and tea completes the day!
