Come learn the ancient art of pine needle basketry from self- taught artist, Mackensie Bennett.
In this class you will work with long leaf pine that she collected from Florida, and will hear he talk about using the pine needles that grow in Washington state, which is an option.
In 4 hours you will be able to create a small basket of your very own, with a half hour added to allow for lunch and pie.
Mackensie will bring other baskets she has made to show you more possibilities, if you decide to continue on with this technique.
There will be a few other old pine needle baskets I own to show you the amazing possibilities of this material.
Bring your lunch and enjoy homemade pie and beverages served with Joy!
The class will be held outside if the weather is good. If not, we will be working in the comfort of my home, with room for the maximum number of students.
