Come make your own unique covered container with the capable and fabulous teacher Erin Cox. It’s a great introduction to weaving AND working with local plants.
Enjoy sitting in the gardens under the shade of the catalpa tree as you learn to work with plants you can see in the gardens.
Using plants like daylily and iris to willow and cedar bark, every vessel will be unique because you are unique!
You’ll create a one-of-a-kind woven glass vessel for yourself or to give as a gift. Starting with a simple starburst willow bark bottom and working your way up using flexible leaves and stems. Willow, maple and cedar bark can be used for plaited contrast.
All workshop materials have been harvest by hand sustainably and responsibly by Erin from here in the Puget Sound.
When you need a break from your weaving you can enjoy homemade pie and beverages that are always a hit – yes I teach pie making classes too!
This workshop is a great introduction to the weaving skills of twining, plaiting, and weaving on a form.
There is a NO Refund policy on this class – but you may pass on your spot to someone else if you can’t make it.
