Back this summer by request as a two day class.

Elin provides a large organic cotton scarf with great instructions on folding / tying / clamping / binding  to create a surprising pattern of resist on the fabric.

Gather inspiration from the historic, ethnic, and contemporary indigo dyed textiles that Elin will bring from her own collection. Explore the extraordinary patterns that have been handed down for centuries within many diverse cultures.

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting blue and bring a good fitting pair of gloves for the dipping.

Endless delights it what you’ll unfold from the dyed pieces.

Everything you need to dye an organic cotton shawl is included. You are welcome to bring  t-shirts or other articles of clothing to dip into the vat. Silk, cotton, and linen scarves will also be available for purchase to continue your dye experiments. Bring yourself, lunch, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting indigo dye on.
